The first step in gaining world class status as a recording studio is to obtain world class acoustical design. In Studio A we achieved this with the help of Steven Durr & Associates, one of the nation's foremost acoustical design firms.
The resulting recording environment of Studio A is both spacious and sonically superior. Our main studio is large enough to easily accommodate a chamber orchestra or music video production if that's what you require. Included are three isolation chambers, one of which is tunable by means of track-mounted, sliding acoustical panels. Our main control room is a comfortable environment that is conducive to creativity. Throughout the Airwave facility are Trident consoles, Otari multitrack recorders and Tannoy monitors, thus assuring sonic continuity between suites. In Studio A, the workhorse Trident 80B, Otari MTR 90 II and Tannoy SM main monitors accompany a selection of the highest quality audio equipment, including the area's largest collection of microphones and signal processing gear.
Video, audio, and intercom capabilities connected through tie-lines to Airwave's B & C studios greatly expand the capabilities of Studio A. Projects that begin elsewhere are easily transferred to the music suite for further production. A highly trained creative and technical staff who are themselves musicians and have over 40 years real-world experience is perhaps the most important component of our top-notch music production. | ||
